Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
Pictured above are the four key signatories for Hertfordshire's JSNA. They are (from left to right), Sarah Pickup, Director of Adult Care Services (Hertfordshire County Council), Dr Jane Halpin, Chief Executive of NHS Hertfordshire, Jenny Coles, Director of Children's Safeguarding and Specialist Services (Hertfordshire County Council) and Justin Donovan, Director of Education and Early Intervention (Hertfordshire County Council).
The Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 specifies that Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) produce a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) of the health and wellbeing of the local community.
Our first JSNA, produced in 2008 brought together a selection of information into one place for use by commissioners of services and others.
Building on the excellent foundations provided by our 2008 JSNA and going forward from mid-2010, you can access the ‘new’ on-line version of our JSNA.
A JSNA Summary Profile is available on our Local Profiles area (opens in a new window).
For more information and other details related to the JSNA, follow the links shown to the right and left of this page.
