Elections
Elections give people a say on who runs the country, who sits on the local council, and who represents them in Europe. Electors must be registered to vote with the local authority on the Eletoral Register.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) publish annual UK Electoral Statistics. These tables show the number of people who on ist May and 1st December each year were registered to vote in elections following the annual canvass carried out by Electoral Registration Officers in the UK.
