Primary Care Trusts
As of 1st April 2010 the existing two Primary Care Trusts in Hertfordshire, West Herts PCT and East & North Herts PCT, were merged into a single one for the whole of Hertfordshire, NHS Hertfordshire.
Originally there were 8 Primary Care Trusts but on 1st October 2006 these were reconfigured into West Herts PCT and East & North Herts PCT. At this time Dacorum Primary Care Trust, Hertsmere Primary Care Trust, St Albans and Harpenden Primary Care Trust and Watford and Three Rivers Primary Care Trust were all transferred to West Herts PCT. North Herts and Stevenage Primary Care Trust, Royston, Buntingford and Bishops Stortford Primary Care Trust, South East Herts Primary Care Trust and Welwyn and Hatfield Primary Care Trust were transferred to East & North Herts PCT.
