Hertfordshire External Resources Network (HERN) is a network of organisations and individuals who aim to maximise the amount of external funding (money that is sourced from outside the county) that can be brought into Hertfordshire. HERN aims to improve Hertfordshire’s share of funding to meet the county’s needs; support and improve better joint partner strategies and planning on external funding; optimise external funding and align resources with strategic aims through better planning; identify appropriate performance measures and to monitor progress regularly.
